Tragic Boat Collision Claims Lives of Married Couple in Great South Bay
A married couple, identified as Renee Deritis, 50, and Louis Deritis, 53, were killed in a boating accident on the Great South Bay near Bay Shore, New York. Their 27-foot boat collided with a 44-foot fishing boat, causing their boat to capsize. The husband was initially reported missing, but his wife's body was found in the hull of the capsized boat. The operator and passengers of the fishing boat were unharmed, and both vessels have been impounded for safety checks. The cause of the crash is unknown.
