The Damaging Effects of 'Phubbing' on Marriages
A study conducted by psychologists at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University found that married couples who engage in "phubbing" (phone snubbing) have lower marriage satisfaction. The researchers sent out surveys to married couples in Turkey and discovered that couples who reported more phubbing in their homes also reported less satisfaction in their marriage. The study suggests that turning off phones more often can help improve marital satisfaction.
