Imran Khan's Wife Bushra Bibi Convicted in Marriage Fraud Case
A Pakistani court has sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his third wife, Bushra Bibi, to seven years in prison after declaring their marriage null and void, ruling it un-Islamic and illegal due to breaking the three-month waiting rule. Bushra Bibi, a faith healer and spiritual adviser, follows the Sufi tradition and hails from a politically influential family. The couple was also sentenced to 14 years in prison for corruption, with Bibi allowed to serve her sentence under house arrest.
