Despite being down 8-0 in the third inning, the Ducks stayed calm and fought back with home runs from Jacob Walsh and Bennett Thompson. Head coach Mark Wasikowski credited the team's toughness and the energy from the second-largest crowd in PK Park history for the win. Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday night.

Oregon Ducks Win Pac-12 Baseball Tournament, Eye NCAA Championship.

The Oregon Ducks won the Pac-12 baseball tournament by defeating the Arizona Wildcats 5-4 in the championship game. The Ducks overcame a shorthanded pitching staff, outlasted multiple late-game deficits, and persevered through four do-or-die games to win their first conference tournament title and earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Baseball Tournament. Freshman right-hander Turner Spoljaric pitched the game of his life, and the bullpen had another clutch effort to cool down the red-hot Wildcats. The Ducks' defense was exceptional behind him, turning three crucial double plays to escape jams, and their offense came from all over the lineup.
