MTG Designer Addresses Crossover Criticism, Praises Marvel Collaboration
Mark Rosewater, head designer of Magic: The Gathering, has responded to criticism from fans regarding the introduction of crossover promotions in the game. Rosewater previously stated that MTG would remain "one cohesive game" and not incorporate other intellectual properties, but now acknowledges that the team's position has changed. He believes that the crossover expansions, such as Final Fantasy and Fallout, will bring happiness to Magic players. The trading card game's Universes Beyond series will feature these crossovers, with the Fallout expansion set to launch in early 2024.
