Texas dominates Colgate in NCAA Tournament first round win.
The No. 2-seed Texas Longhorns defeated the No. 15-seed Colgate Raiders 81-61 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Texas tied their season high with 13 made threes, including seven from Sir’Jabari Rice, who scored a game-high 23 points. Marcus Carr added 17 points and hit 4-of-6 threes. Texas executed their gameplan of running the Raiders off the three-point line and avoiding defensive rotations, holding Colgate to three made threes on 15 attempts. Despite allowing a 38-32 advantage in the paint for Colgate, Texas never let the Raiders get closer than seven points in the second half. Texas will face Penn State in the next round.
