Metallica has announced the 25 finalists in their first "For Whom The Band Tolls" marching band competition, with high school and college bands competing for over $180,000 in prizes. The finalists were chosen by professional judges, and members of Metallica will select the final winners in each category. The general public can also vote for two fan favorites until December 31st.
Metallica has announced the finalists for their inaugural "For Whom The Band Tolls" marching band competition, which challenged bands to perform their music. The competition, with over 450 participating schools, has selected five finalists in each category: Collegiate Division 1, Collegiate Division 2/3, and High School (Small, Medium, and Large). The winners, to be chosen by Metallica, will receive musical equipment and instruments for their school programs, with additional Fan Favorite winners determined by popular vote.
