Apple's 'Find My iPhone' glitch sends strangers to Texas dad's door, sheriff scolds.
A technical glitch in Apple's Find My iPhone app and Apple Maps has been directing people searching for their lost iPhones to the home of a Texas resident, Scott Schuster, for years. Schuster, a software engineer, says he has contacted Apple support multiple times to resolve the issue, but to no avail. He is concerned about the safety risks of strangers showing up at his doorstep, and is considering filing a lawsuit against the company. This is not the first time Apple Maps has had directional issues.
