"Kansas City's Evolving Sports and Transportation Landscape"
Mammoth Sports Construction has unveiled a stadium design for the Kansas City Royals that would stretch over I-670 and sit on the site of the old Kansas City Star printing pavilion. The design incorporates recycled copper from the KC Star building, a brick facade inspired by the West Bottoms stockyards, a curved seating bowl preserving the present seating structure of Kaufman Stadium, and a U-shaped section design inspired by Fenway Park and Camden Yards. The Royals have narrowed their focus to a handful of locations for the downtown facility.
