"Highlights from the 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships"
The University of Virginia won their third consecutive NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championship, breaking six NCAA records in the process. Virginia senior Kate Douglass won Swimmer of the Year after breaking NCAA, American, and U.S. Open records in the 200 IM, 100 fly, and 200 breast. LSU fifth year Maggie MacNeil also added a seventh NCAA record in the 50 free. Virginia head coach Todd DeSorbo was named Coach of the Year, and Hawaii's Mike Stephens was named New-Hires Coach of the Year. Stanford's Claire Curzan was named Freshman of the Year.
