The University of Michigan ice hockey team clinched their NCAA-record 27th all-time appearance in the Frozen Four with a 2-1 overtime win over Penn State in the Midwest Regional Final. Sophomore Mackie Samoskevich scored the game-winning goal just 52 seconds into OT. Junior goaltender Erik Portillo made 31 saves in the victory. The Wolverines will face Quinnipiac in the Frozen Four semifinals on April 6th.
