Ecuador's notorious drug kingpin Jose Adolfo Macias, known as 'Fito' and leader of Los Choneros, has been extradited to the US to face charges of drug trafficking and gun smuggling, following his recapture after a prison escape that triggered violence and declared a terror organization by Ecuadorian authorities.
