A bottle of Macallan Adami 1926 scotch whisky has set a new record as the most expensive bottle of liquor ever sold at auction, fetching around $2.7 million at Sotheby's in London. The bottle is part of a collection of 40 bottles produced in 1986, with only 14 decorated with the iconic Fine and Rare labels. This particular bottle, painted by Valerio Adami, was highly sought after due to its exclusivity and rarity. The recent sale shattered previous auction bids for bottles from this collection, with two remaining bottles still unaccounted for.
