Apple is reportedly planning to release an external Mac monitor that can function as a smart home display even when the Mac is in standby mode or shut down. The monitor, which may be part of an upcoming lineup including successors to Apple's Pro Display XDR and Studio Display, is expected to run on a chip similar to the one used in the iPhone.
