Honolulu Hotel Removes 'Trump' from Name
The Trump International Hotel Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii, will be renamed Wakea Waikiki Beach in February, according to real estate firm Irongate. The hotel, which will also operate under the LXR Hotels & Resorts brand, will offer access to the Hilton loyalty network. The decision to drop the "Trump" name was not explained in the statement. This is the latest property to remove the Trump name, joining a list that includes hotels in New York, Toronto, and Panama, as well as residential buildings.
