Record-breaking Auction: Scotch Whisky Fetches Unprecedented $2.7 Million
A bottle of The Macallan Adami 1926, considered the most sought-after Scotch whisky, has sold for a record-breaking £2.2 million ($2.7 million) at an auction in London. Only 40 bottles of this rare whisky were produced in 1986, with labels designed by Italian painter Valerio Adami. The sale price exceeded the pre-sale estimate and set a new record for a bottle of wine or spirits at auction.
