POST Card Compatibility with Modern BIOS
A modern PC may seem totally different from the first PCs, but there are considerable vestigial remnants baked in there. POST codes can be accessed from the Low Pin Count (LPC) bus with an appropriate POST card that can talk LPC. This helps in debugging modern motherboards that don't export the same bus anymore.
