Canon Unveils Game-Changing Night Vision Camera with Long-Range Subject Detection
Canon is set to release the world's first ultra-high-sensitivity interchangeable-lens camera equipped with a Type 1 Single Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) image sensor. The camera offers incredible low-light performance, high resolution, and the ability to use Canon's broadcast lenses. With the combination of these features, the camera can capture clear color videos of subjects several miles away, even at night. The SPAD sensor counts each light particle that reaches every pixel, enabling the detection of even small amounts of light. The camera also includes custom picture functions to improve visibility, reduce noise and haze, and adjust contrast and image brightness. The Canon MS-500 SPAD Sensor Camera will be available in September 2023 for $25,200.
