Serena Williams-backed team joins Tiger Woods' new virtual golf league.
The TGL Golf League, backed by investors including Serena Williams, will debut in 2024 with six teams of three players each. Williams announced her team, the Los Angeles Golf Club, on Twitter, which aims to make golf accessible to everyone. The league will feature virtual golf played in front of a live audience. Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, and Collin Morikawa have committed to joining, with other major champions also set to play. The U.S. Open begins next week at the Los Angeles Country Club’s North Course.
