Halide's Kino: A Dedicated iPhone Video Capture App Coming in February
Halide, the popular iPhone photography app, will not support video capture and instead, its development team is working on a dedicated video capture app called Kino. Kino aims to provide professional recording features, taking advantage of Apple's support for log video encoding. The release of Kino is scheduled for February, and it will offer enhanced editing capabilities through the use of log video, a format that preserves more detail for post-production color grading. The app's features and pricing are yet to be revealed, but the development team plans to openly share updates along the way.
