
Missouri Teacher Charged with Attempted Murder for Poisoning Husband
A Missouri teacher, Sarah Scheffer, has been charged with attempted murder after admitting to putting lily of the valley in her husband's food, causing symptoms of poisoning. The victim reported experiencing blurred vision, confusion, dry mouth, fatigue, and nausea, and suspected his wife of intentionally poisoning him. Scheffer, a part-time art and design teacher at Calvary Lutheran High School, has been placed on leave, and is currently held in Cole County Jail facing charges of first-degree attempted murder and armed criminal action.
