A Texas company called Life Corporation, along with an individual named Walter Monk, has been traced as the source of a fake Biden robocall that discouraged voting in New Hampshire. The robocall used an artificially generated clone of President Biden's voice and was found to have illegally spoofed caller ID information. Tech firms assisted in tracing the calls, and the FCC is taking action against the telecom provider involved. The use of AI-generated voices in robocalls may soon be declared illegal under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
