Michigan hockey defeated Penn State 2-1 in overtime to secure their 27th Frozen Four appearance, the most in NCAA history. Mackie Samoskevich scored the game-winner just 52 seconds into overtime, beating Penn State's goalie Liam Souliere, who stopped 40 Michigan shots in regulation. Michigan will face Quinnipiac in the Frozen Four on April 6 in Tampa, Florida.

The winner will advance to the Frozen Four in Tampa, Florida. Michigan's D Luke Hughes and Penn State's G Liam Souliere are key players to watch. Despite a close season series, Michigan's offense is expected to be too much for Penn State to handle, with a predicted final score of U-M 5, Penn State 3.
