Chicago Gay Bars Boycott Anheuser-Busch Over Dylan Mulvaney Controversy
At least five LGBTQ+ bars in Chicago are boycotting Anheuser-Busch and its products following the company's partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The partnership, which consisted of a sponsored post on her Instagram account promoting Bud Light, spawned a right-wing backlash. The company's response to that backlash led to accusations that it was abandoning Mulvaney, 25, which in turn ignited a response from the LGBTQ+ community. The bars have removed Anheuser-Busch products, stating that they expect the products they sell to align their values with their values or not trample on the right of their customers.
