Multiple Wildfires Spark Level 3 Evacuations in Salem Area
Level 3 evacuations have been ordered for approximately 600 people in South Salem due to a fast-moving vegetation fire. The fire, which started as a grass fire, quickly spread into a blaze burning in timber and threatening homes. Fire crews from multiple agencies are responding, and the Oregon State Fire Marshal is mobilizing air tankers. Residents are urged to leave immediately as staying poses a great danger to their lives and emergency services may not be available to help.
