Lian Li has introduced case fans with 1.6-inch LCD screens that can display PC stats or looping images/videos. Available in 120 mm and 140 mm sizes, the fans come with RGB LEDs and two lighting zones. The LCD-equipped fans cost $47 and $52 for the 120 mm and 140 mm versions, respectively, while non-LCD versions are priced at $33 and $36. The fans require a dedicated fan controller and can be customized using proprietary software. However, the screens are only visible on one side, limiting airflow optimization. Lian Li's fans are the first to mount LCD screens on fans, offering a unique customization option for PC enthusiasts.

Spectra 6 can display up to six different color particles in each microcapsule, and it will be available in a variety of sizes with a contrast ratio of 30:1 and resolutions up to 200 pixels per inch. While it will be quite a few years before the Spectra 6 technology trickles down to consumer devices, it promises to be a big step forward for digital signage, where imagery can be occasionally swapped out and easily updated without the hassle of having to get something physically printed.
