Laurens County Standoff and Manhunt Ends in Arrest and Tragedy
A manhunt that lasted for six hours in Laurens, South Carolina, has ended with the arrest of Charles Howard, who was driving a stolen car. Howard, who also goes by Caleb Howard, was chased by police and later assaulted an officer while at the hospital before running away. The Laurens Police Department, along with other law enforcement agencies, conducted a manhunt that covered over 8.5 miles. Howard was eventually apprehended following a foot chase and brief altercation. He faces several charges, including resisting arrest and assault on a police officer.
