Aztecs survive late Lobos surge to stay perfect in Mountain West
San Diego State topped New Mexico 83-79 at Viejas Arena to move to 7-0 in the Mountain West after a late rally by the Lobos. Miles Byrd shone with 21 points and multipleStats, Reese Dixon-Waters added double figures, and Miles Heide was fouled intentionally late and made two free throws to extend the lead as BJ Davis hit a fall-away jumper with 11 seconds left.
