Lake County Sheriff’s Canine Dax passed away just two days after a retirement ceremony following a career-ending injury, leaving behind a legacy of saving lives and apprehending offenders during nearly 10 years of service. The German Shepherd, known for his exceptional abilities, received numerous awards and recognition, and was celebrated at a public retirement ceremony attended by community members and fellow officers.
