Family of Slain Deputy Seeks $20 Million in Lawsuit Against LA County Sheriff's Department
The family of Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer, who was shot and killed in Palmdale, has filed a $20 million claim against the LA County Sheriff's Department, citing overworked deputies and lack of protection as contributing factors to his death. The 30-year-old deputy was killed in September, and a 29-year-old suspect has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
