After its premiere at the Berlinale, the Rooney Mara-starring drama "La Cocina" has been acquired for most international territories by HanWay Films, with deals closed for various countries including France, Australia, Spain, Italy, South Korea, and more. The film, directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios, is a modern-day adaptation of Arnold Wesker’s play "The Kitchen," set in a Manhattan restaurant during the lunch rush, and follows the story of undocumented cooks being investigated for missing money from the till.
