Utah Jazz revolutionize TV deal with free games and streaming options.
The Utah Jazz will air all non-nationally televised games on KJZZ-TV starting in the 2023-24 season, and establish a new media arm called SEG Media to sell subscriptions to a direct-to-consumer streaming service for fans to watch games over the internet. The move ends a 15-year era of Jazz game broadcasting on cable-based regional sports networks and opens up games to a wider audience of Utahns. The team hopes to reach more fans, especially younger fans without traditional television capabilities, and offer other content through the streaming service, giving “unprecedented access” to the team with “behind-the-scenes” footage.
