The NFL will play its first game in Brazil on Friday, September 6, 2024, as part of the Kickoff Weekend, with the Philadelphia Eagles as the home team at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo. This marks the first NFL game in South America and the first time the league has played on a Friday night during Week One since 1970. Additionally, the NFL will also have three games in London and one in Munich in 2024.
The Green Bay Packers have announced that Stone Temple Pilots and Collective Soul will be performing a free concert on September 23 outside Lambeau Field as part of the Kickoff Weekend festivities. The concert will take place ahead of the Packers' home opener against the New Orleans Saints. Attendees can expect to hear hits from the '90s rock bands, such as "Vaseline," "Plush," and "Shine." Parking will be free on a first-come, first-served basis, and lawn chairs and blankets are allowed. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. This will be the sixth Kickoff Weekend concert hosted by the Packers, following previous performances by Blues Traveler, Everclear, Steve Miller, Big & Rich, Cowboy Troy, and Jake Owen.
