Iconic diners up for sale as pandemic takes its toll.
Kellogg's Diner, an iconic 95-year-old eatery in Williamsburg, New York City, has filed for bankruptcy and is seeking a buyer for $2.5 million. The diner, which has a 30-year lease, full liquor license, and a reported $3.5 million gross yearly revenue, has been struggling to pay off at least $750,000 in unpaid expenses, including rent, utility bills, and legal fees. Despite the high price tag, the diner's location in the highly gentrified neighborhood makes it a valuable piece of real estate.
