Late voice actor Keiji Fujiwara will still voice Reno in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, according to an interview with Tetsuya Nomura. Due to Fujiwara's death, past recordings of his voice will be used for the upcoming game, and Reno's screentime has been reduced. The third part of the FFVII Remake series will introduce a new Japanese voice actor for Reno, and the character's presence will increase in the next entry. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will release worldwide for the PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024.
