Orioles demote struggling pitcher Grayson Rodriguez to Triple-A.
Grayson Rodriguez, a top prospect for the Baltimore Orioles, has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk after struggling in his third start of May. The Orioles still expect the 23-year-old to become a top-tier MLB starting pitcher, but he needs to work on improving his fastball location and consistency. Left-handed relief pitcher Keegan Akin has been called up in his place. Rodriguez has posted a 7.35 ERA in his 10 appearances this season, with half being good and half being bad.
