Remembering Nikki McCray-Penson: A Basketball Legend's Farewell
Funeral arrangements have been announced for Nikki McCray-Penson, former University of South Carolina women's basketball assistant coach and two-time Olympic gold-medalist. The funeral will be held on July 15 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, and instead of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. McCray-Penson, who was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012, passed away after battling cancer.
