Katrina Merriweather leaves Memphis for Cincinnati coaching job.
Katrina Merriweather, the former Memphis women's basketball coach, has been hired by Cincinnati as their new coach. Merriweather played for Cincinnati from 1997-2001 and led Memphis to their best season since 2012, finishing with a 38-23 record. The Tigers reached the WNIT Super 16 for the first time since 1999 under her leadership. Memphis Athletic Director Laird Vetch said a search for Merriweather's replacement will begin immediately.
