Katherine Short, Martin Short’s Daughter, Dies at 42 in Apparent Suicide
Katherine Hartley Short, adopted daughter of Martin Short and his late wife Nancy Dolman, died at 42 in the Hollywood Hills from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, with the LAPD responding to her home; she is survived by two younger brothers and had degrees from NYU and USC, later working in mental-health settings and volunteering with Bring Change 2 Mind; Short and Martin Short were touring as a two-person comedy–music duo, and a family representative asked for privacy.
