TP-Link has launched a new smart plug, KP125MP, that is Matter-compatible and has energy monitoring capabilities. The plug can be set up using the Google Home app or other Matter-compatible apps, and can work over a local network even if the internet is out. The Kasa app allows for scheduling and tracking of energy usage, with the ability to turn off the plug when a certain amount of power has been used.
