Olympic speed skater undergoes emergency facial surgery after eye injury from rival's blade
Kamila Sellier, Poland’s short-track speed skater, required emergency facial surgery after a rival’s blade slashed her eye during the women's 1500m at the Milan-Cortina Winter Games. She was stretchered off, later posted a hospital selfie, and said she’s doing okay as doctors repair the damaged bone and conduct eye-movement tests.
