The Edmonton Oilers have traded forwards Kailer Yamamoto and Klim Kostin to the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for future considerations. Yamamoto, selected 22nd overall in the 2017 NHL Draft, recorded 118 points in 244 career NHL regular season games with the Oilers. Kostin, acquired from the St. Louis Blues in 2022, scored 21 points in 57 games during the 2022-23 regular season. Yamamoto has one season left on his contract, while Kostin will become a restricted free agent on July 1.
