A second juror in the Michelle Troconis trial was dismissed after comparing the case to the movie "Gone Girl" online, violating court rules. Troconis is charged with conspiracy to commit murder for allegedly helping her former lover, Fotis Dulos, cover up the murder of his wife, Jennifer, who disappeared in 2019 and has never been found. Another juror was previously dismissed for inappropriate behavior. Fotis Dulos died by suicide in 2020 before standing trial.
The trial of Austin police officer Christopher Taylor, accused of murdering Michael Ramos in 2020, was dismissed due to an error in jury selection. Taylor is accused of shooting Ramos during a confrontation with police in a south Austin apartment complex parking lot. Testimony is expected to begin Wednesday. Taylor also faces charges related to the 2019 shooting of Mauris Nishanga DeSilva.
