Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia sues NCAA for extra eligibility year
Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia has filed a lawsuit against the NCAA, challenging the rules that count junior college years towards NCAA eligibility as an antitrust violation. Pavia seeks an additional year or two of eligibility, arguing that the current rules limit athletes' ability to earn from name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court in Tennessee, claims these rules violate the Sherman Act and requests an expedited decision before the transfer portal opens. The NCAA has not commented on the case.
