Some players have expressed their displeasure at the optional scene by review-bombing the game on Metacritic. Elven has received angry DMs from gamers, including "God won't forgive you" and "you destroyed Horizon". Review aggregation site Metacritic has pledged to introduce stricter moderation after the game was review-bombed by users for including the optional scene.
