Judge Questions Validity of Cases Cited by Michael D. Cohen's Lawyer
Michael Cohen's lawyer, David Schwartz, has been accused of citing three non-existent legal cases in a court filing seeking to end Cohen's supervised release. Manhattan federal judge, Jesse M. Furman, ordered Schwartz to provide copies of the cited decisions within a week or explain how the motion came to include non-existent cases. If Cohen is found to have played a role in citing the bogus cases, it could further undermine his credibility as he is expected to be the star witness in the upcoming criminal trial against former President Donald Trump.
