San Diego Braces for Weekend Tropical Storm
Tropical Storm Jova, downgraded from a hurricane, will bring high swells and chances of thunderstorms to San Diego this weekend. Wave heights are expected to peak between 3 and 5 feet, creating dangerous swimming conditions. Jova's impact will be smaller compared to Tropical Storm Hilary, which brought strong winds and record-setting rainfall. An excessive heat warning is also in effect for the deserts, with temperatures exceeding 110 degrees. The warm weather will continue into Sunday, with a slight chance of rain in the mountains.
