The New York Times has announced several new hires in its video journalism team, including senior and junior video journalists, producers, and cinematographers, with backgrounds in investigative reporting, live news, documentary filmmaking, and international reporting, starting from December 1st and January 5th.
The Associated Press and The New York Times won multiple Pulitzer Prizes for their coverage of the Ukraine War, including the prestigious public service prize. Other news organizations, such as AL.com, The Washington Post, and The Los Angeles Times, also received awards for their reporting and photography. The topics covered ranged from local news reporting to investigative reporting on financial investments of senior federal officials.
The Pulitzer Prizes will be awarded today to honor outstanding journalism from 2022 in 15 categories, as well as eight arts categories focused on books, music and theater. The public service prize winner receives a gold medal, while all other winners receive $15,000. The prizes were established in the will of newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer and first awarded in 1917.
