Wordle, a popular English-language puzzle game created by software engineer Josh Wardle, has gained millions of players since its release in 2021. Players use a color system to guess a five-letter word within six tries, with green tiles indicating correct letters in the right position, yellow tiles for correct letters in the wrong position, and gray tiles for incorrect letters. Today's Wordle answer is "topaz," a noun and mineral that shares its name with two South American hummingbirds and contains the letter "Z."

Wordle, the popular online game, challenges players to solve a five-letter word in six attempts or less using a color-coded system. The creator, Josh Wardle, chose five letters and six tries as the ideal sweet spot for the game. Today's puzzle, Wordle #666, contains no repeated letters, only one vowel, and starts with a "D." The answer is "Dwelt," which means "to remain for a time" or "to live as a resident," according to Merriam-Webster.
