Devils Halt Kings' Streak with Hughes' Stellar Performance
The LA Kings' six-game winning streak ended with a 3-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils. Jordan Spence scored first for the Kings, but the Devils equalized with a deflected goal by Ondrej Palat. Jack Hughes then scored the go-ahead goal in the third period, assisted by Palat. Brett Pesce sealed the win with a shorthanded goal. Kings' coach Jim Hiller and player Phillip Danault noted the team's need for more shots and better capitalization on opportunities.
